May 16. Over breakfast we review the events of the last few days and discuss our next steps. I don’t want to bang on about stuff so here are the bullet point details.
1. I can’t and don’t want to claim confusion and clarity of decision making in the same breath. I truly believe the decision to descend was a result of collective consciousness. Sumit, Lama and myself.
2. My complete trust in Sumit and Lama and they in me meant communication was open and honest. Even in the most difficult of circumstances.
3. Up until the morning of the 14 th everyone including myself believed I would summit. When I was shit and I hit the fan, Sumit and Lama were able to suspend their previous views that I was going to make it and objectively evaluate all of the observable evidence. Thank you so much.
The future is unwritten and those options not taken are never realized. But without the sun on your back and air in your lungs another adventure will never be had. Dreams are your own. Don’t compare their worth or relevance against the dreams of others.
If it floats your boat............daretodream. The only restriction is yourself. Maybe that’s the answer Charlotte A. Until
next time.............
Himalayan Ascent you are awesome.

You dared to dream Graham what an amazing adventure you've had. You write beautifully and whilst you may be disappointed you live to climb another mountain and that's all that matters x
